Helping Children with Special Needs

When providing pediatric speech/language therapy, occupational therapy and physical therapy services, the Maryland Therapy Network believes in designing individual treatment plans to meet each child’s challenges. Understanding that a cookie-cutter, one-size-fits-all approach will not work is especially true when meeting the unique circumstances of special needs children.

The experienced therapists at Maryland Therapy Network provide customized therapy for children on the autism spectrum, those with PDD-NOS, sensory processing disorder, Down Syndrome, cerebral palsy, torticollis, and cleft palate as well as other physical and emotional  issues. We can provide assistance to children with special needs who have:

  • Apraxia of speech
  • Articulation/speech difficulties
  • Delayed speech
  • Expressive and receptive language disorder
  • Fine motor, sensory motor and visual motor delays
  • Fluency problems and stuttering
  • The need to strengthen and develop motor skills
  • The need to improve mobility
  • Oral motor skills dysfunction
  • Sensory integration treatment
